Joene (Jo) Baker joins Logistics Bureau Group on 1st  March 2013. After a break of almost 10 years, Jo Baker returns to the Logistics Bureau Group, this time as General Manager Education.  During the last 10 years, Jo has led the growth of the Logistics Association of Australia in the role of Executive Manager. Jo’s role at Logistics Bureau Group will be to head up the newly established education division that provides both online and offline Supply Chain education with a focus on fast tracking member’s careers and business success by leveraging the knowledge and experience of an expert faculty. Rob O’Byrne, the founder and Group Managing Director of Logistics Bureau remarked “I’m so pleased that Jo has agreed to head up our new education services.  I’ve followed her outstanding success at the LAA over the years, and Jo was my first (and only) choice for this new role.  She is made for it.  Jo was a key staff member at Logistics Bureau when we launched the business in 1997, and it’s great to have her back on the team” Jo Baker replied “I’m very sad to be leaving the LAA, but had reached the point where I really needed new challenges.  And given my interest in training and mentoring this role seemed a perfect fit.  I look forward to maintaining close ties with the LAA though and will remain an active supporter and promoter of the Association” Ms Baker joins Logistics Bureau Group on 1st March 2013, and on 12th March launches the first of the Supply Chain School series of 2013 based in...

Supply Chain School Launch

Supply Chain School Launch

Supply Chain School launches next month in Sydney Australia with all seats filled, under the leadership of Jo Baker who has recently rejoined the Logistics Bureau Group following an impressive 8 year role at the Logistics Association of Australia. The School is a brand new education concept that takes a ‘fast track’ approach to building the knowledge of our future Supply Chain Leaders.  This is done by bringing to the School a faculty comprised of some of our most outstanding leaders and practioners in the field.  Taking a rather 80/20 approach to knowledge building, the School will focus on the 20% that reaps the greatest reward for businesses and members careers. The Supply Chain School covers the more basic topics (the 80%) by delivering a series of weekly eClasses to members that are a virtual A to Z of Supply Chain and Logistics. The read more about the concept check out a video here by the School’s Founder Rob O’Byrne.     And some FAQs about Supply Chain School right here: Supply Chain School FAQs   Rob can be contacted through email or +61 417 417...

Smart Conference Supply Chain Games

Smart Conference Supply Chain Games

One of my favourite Supply Chain events is coming back around soon. The Smart Supply Chain Conference in Sydney.  This year it’s on 26th and 27th June 2013.  You can check out the details here: Smart Supply Chain and Logistics Conference. If you haven’t been you should certainly try to come along. I’ll be running a session with my Colleague Steven Thacker.  He’s the MD of Benchmarking Success.  And as always, we’ll be doing something a little bit different … If you want to take part in, or indeed just watch, an exciting Supply Chain game, then make sure you come along to our session.  We’ll need to limit the number of delegates in the room, to probably 50.  You’ll see why when you get there. This ‘game’ is one of the best ways I have seen to really ‘get’ Supply Chain Management.  Lots of fun and some great lessons to be learnt along the way. Here’s the program, and our session in on Wed 26th June at 3:45 pm.  Stream 2.1.  See you there!   Best Regards     Rob O’Byrne Email or +61 417 417...
